Hungerburgbahn Innsbruck.

Project description

LCS Cable Cranes was involved in the re-construction of the new Hungerburgbahn in Innsbruck, exactly 100 years after the opening of the Old Hungerburgbahn. The new Hungerburgbahn – a cable railway – connects the Tyrolean city Innsbruck with the Alpenzoo and the Nordkettenbahn. LCS Cable Cranes was in charge of the transport of the construction material usind a material-cableway and collaboration in the construction of the rails.

The cable crane needed to be installed in a strait trail, including curves (cable crane with horizontal bends). Several high frequented footpaths were crossed along the track of the cableway and the whole installation needed to be as quiet as possible due to the touristic Location and close residential area.
