So Everyone Knows What to Do When It Matters
What happens if a cabin comes to a standstill during operation and the people on board need to be evacuated? That is exactly the scenario – highly unlikely, but not impossible – that we train for.
In a practical drill carried out in accordance with the operating procedures, the full rescue sequence was performed: the cabin attendant coordinated and executed the controlled abseil of passengers from the stationary cabin – followed by the cabin attendant abseiling down themselves. A rescue device with a defined maximum descent speed was used throughout, ensuring a controlled and safe evacuation at all times.
Drills like this are a fixed part of our safety concept: on every construction site where LCS supplies cabins for personnel transport, site staff, HSE managers, and operator personnel are trained together.
