Hydro power plant Aston

Cable crane components used for the construction of a hydro power plant in France.

  • Various LCS cable crane equipment incl. crane units and a winch were used for the rehabilitation of a penstock of the French energy company EDF in France. In addition to a diesel-hydraulic GW350D winch with an output of 261 kW and one GCS60 and GC100 crane unit each with a double lifting unit LCS manufactured various components such as tensioning clamps and rope pulleys, which were used by the company Mecamont Hydro for the restoration of the hydro power plant in the French Pyrenees. The crane units transported pipes, construction material and machinery into the steep terrain through which the penstock runs.
