Restoration of a Moorish castle in Portugal by means of a small cable crane system.

• For the restoration of the Moorish castle “Castelo dos Mouros” in Sintra, LCS supplied a 2 to cable crane system which transported construction material and equipment. The project in Portugal was really special. The location of the castle was quite challenging. The castle is located in the middle of a national park, which is visited by many tourists. Consequently, the installation had to make as little noise as possible and the rope had to be tensioned above the treetops due to the environmental regulations. However, the cable crane system was installed and operated without any problems and the Moorish castle was successfully renovated.
