Martirano Morano Gas Pipeline

Pipeline construction in South Italy under challenging conditions.

• For the construction of the Martirano Morano Gas Pipeline in South Italy, LCS delivered a 12 to cable crane system. The task was to install and operate the system, which transports pipes, sandbags and bulk material for the construction of the pipeline. By means of the cable crane system the pipes could be held in the correct position for welding works.
  
  The challenge was that an existing gas pipeline was located parallel to the planned route, which of course may not be damaged during the construction work.
